We are seeking an exceptional General Manager to lead our team and uphold the standards that have earned PRESS its reputation as one of California’s premier dining destinations. The Role The General Manager is the cornerstone of the guest experience, responsible for inspiring, leading, and developing a world-class front-of-house team. This individual will collaborate closely with the Executive Chef, Beverage Director, and Managing Partners to deliver an impeccable and cohesive service that reflects the spirit of Napa Valley hospitality. Key Responsibilities Lead, motivate, and elevate both front- and back-of-house teams to deliver a consistently elevated experience. Cultivate future leaders through mentorship, structured feedback, and thoughtful training programs. Cultivate an atmosphere of genuine warmth, refined elegance, and discreet service, offering hospitality that feels effortless and never pretentious. Maintain mastery of fine-dining etiquette, tableside service, pacing, and flow; actively manage reservations and the dining room. Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, cost controls, and revenue optimization. Support wine service and maintain an expert understanding of our award-winning wine program. Stay informed on global fine-dining trends, sustainability practices, and evolving guest expectations to keep PRESS at the forefront of innovation. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of front-of-house management experience in a fine-dining environment. Leadership experience in a Michelin-starred or Relais & Chteaux property strongly preferred. Deep understanding of luxury service standards, guest relations, and team dynamics. Strong business acumen with demonstrated experience in financial management and operational strategy. A poised, polished, and personable leader with a natural command of the dining room.
